Plot
The protagonists of Kirakira, Shikanosuke, Kirari, Sarina and Chie are the members of the second literary club (第二文芸部, daini bungeibu?) at the Christian school Ohbi Gakuen. The club was set to be closed in next March so they try to set up a band they call the Second Literary Club Band (第二文芸部バンド, Daini Bungeibu Bando?, shortened to d2b) to save the club. Their performance at the subsequent school festival succeeds with flying colors. That performance was put on the Internet where one of the live houses in Nagoya offered the band to put on a performance in Nagoya. They honestly want to disband after the performance at the school festival because they had to study for entrance exams or look for jobs, but they were convinced to go on a live tour by Yagihara, the vocalist of Star Generation. Shikanosuke's band d2b begins its live tour across Japan in an old van.
Story
Story/Detail
Shikanosuke Maejima is a student at the Missionary school, Oubi Academy. He doesn't attend his club, he doesn't put much effort in his studies, all he does is show up at his part time job; in short, his life could be better. One day, he meets a strange girl, Kirari Shiino, at work and before he knows it, they've formed a punk band.
The band consists of Shikanosuke, Kirari, his childhood friend Chie Isurugi, and a rich but weak young lady by the name of Sarina Kashiwara. The four of them are members of the Second Literature Club, which has hardly any active members and is already scheduled to be disbanded. This band is their chance to stand out and give one final farewell at the Culture Festival.
The challenge was foolhardy, but after eccentric training they managed to succeed and rock out the peaceful Oubi Academy with their debut performance. That should have been it.
They were satisfied.
They should have returned to their normal lives.
However, their final performance at a local Live House became a hit on the Internet and requests for their performance start flying in from far and wide.
One problem: exams are coming up and their parents are opposed to the band!
Who cares!
The four of them embark on their final adventure, a long tour of Japan, armed with their dreams and their instruments, all aboard a rickety van that could fall apart at any moment.
"First stop, Nagoya!"
My opinion
it's a great game but, very sad.... yeah just like edelweiss..
why does overdrive have to make such a sad story like that... T_T
but despise the sad storyline this game offer us a good ost and soundtrack too.
The main story is about a band, so if it a band there should be a music and hell yeah
this game has one.. hha but i think there's one thing that i kinda dislike about this game, is the way they present the story, it just like fate/stay night, the reading are covering the background and the character or the artwork, so it's kinda boring to read it that way, that will make the game no different from the regular novel. and the graphic, it's still the same with edelweiss the on screen character kinda different with the CG, yeah there's some quality reduce from the on screen character and the cg, but at overall the game is good !!
Character
1.Kirari Shiino (椎野 きらり, Shiino Kirari?)
Kirari is the vocalist of the band.
She meets Shikanosuke when she begins working at the restaurant where he works. Her family is very poor, so she works mornings and evenings to make ends meet. However, her cheerful, spontaneous attitude normally masks this hardship. Her disheveled hair and her bright smile are her trademark features.
2.Sarina Kashiwara (樫原 紗理奈, Kashiwara Sarina?)
Sarina is the guitarist.
She comes from a wealthy family who funds the academy. Because of her weak constitution and her grandfather's strict upbringing, she has very few friends. As a refined young lady, her behavior is graceful and she possesses a calm demeanor, but her will is strong. She is very good friends with Kirari and considers her irreplaceable.
3.Chie Isurugi (石動 千絵, Isurugi Chie?)
Chie is Shikanosuke's childhood friend. She plays the drums.
She is a year older than Shikanosuke, but for family reasons she had to repeat a grade. She is also the president of the Second Literature Club, which Shikanosuke and Sarina are part of. Possibly because of what she has went through, Chie is mature, thoughtful, and acts as the voice of reason for the band. However, she also keeps a tight leash on herself, disguising her laid-back and timid nature.
4.Shikanosuke Maejima (前島 鹿之助, Maejima Shikanosuke?)
Shikanosuke is the protagonist of Kirakira.
Shikanosuke plays the bass.
Although he had no interest whatsoever in the band, he got caught up in the string of events and wound up a member. He used to be a member of the Tennis club, but he was forced to withdraw for various reasons. At the same time, he was dumped by his girlfriend and now lives a dejected life.
