what is Visual Novel or VN ?

Before i'm starting to review visual novel, firstly i'm going to tell you a little information about visual novel which taken from en.wikipedia.org

A visual novel (ビジュアルノベル, bijuaru noberu?) is an interactive fiction game featuring mostly static graphics, usually with anime-style art. As the name might suggest, they resemble mixed-media novels or tableau vivant stage plays.

In Japanese terminology, a distinction is often made between visual novels proper (abbreviated NVL), which are predominantly narrative and have few or no interactive elements, and so-called "adventure games" (abbreviated AVG or ADV), which typically incorporate problem-solving and other gameplay elements. This distinction is normally lost in the West, since both are streamlined compared to Western adventure games; Japanese ADVs generally focus on narrative and dialog, with little exploration and few or no logic puzzles or inventory items, and thus both NVLs and ADVs are commonly referred to as "visual novels" by Western fans. Visual novels and ADVs are especially prevalent in Japan, where they made up nearly 70% of the PC game titles released in 2006.[1]

Visual novels are rarely produced for video game consoles, but the more popular games are sometimes ported to systems such as the Dreamcast or the PlayStation 2. The more famous visual novels are also often adapted into the light novel, manga or anime formats. The market for visual novels outside of East Asia, however, is small, though a number of anime based on visual novels are popular among anime fans in the Western world; such titles include Kanon (1999), Air (2000) and Clannad (2004) by Key; Rumbling Hearts (2001) by âge; School Days (2005) by 0verflow; Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (2002) by 07th Expansion and Fate/stay night (2004) by Type-Moon.

There are many visual novel right now, starting from the best one until the worst one...

because of that.. now i'm going to give a review about visual novel and give you a link if you want to donwload it.

(i'm sorry for my bad english.. ^^)

Game Overview
In the near future.
In a not so distant place.
There exists a society where law is based upon deterrence and criminals are assigned "obligations" fitting for their crimes.
Within this society, a man named Morita Kenichi aspires to the position of Special High Class Individual, one who holds authority over said criminals.
For the purpose of fulfilling his ambition, Kenichi returns to the town he once called home. There he will encounter three girls bearing "obligations" and there he will encounter the past he left behind.
Won't you join him in this story about how people relate to their society?
In this story about how a society relates to its people.
In this story about the girl amid the sunflowers growing in the country spinning like a wheel.
Setting
Sharin no Kuni takes place in an unnamed country, often referred to as the 'wheel country'. Although nominally democratic, all aspects of society in this country are influenced by an elite stratum of people known as "Special High Class Individuals." Special High Class Individuals possess complete legal authority, using this to confer 'obligations'- absolute rules which if disobeyed will result in one's confinement in a forced-labor camp - upon those whose actions are judged to be detrimental to society.
The country's geographical location is not mentioned, but it is a separate political entity from Japan. It borders a poverty-stricken and war-torn 'Southern Country', whose inhabitants have a distinctive appearance and are often discriminated against in the north.
The events of the story occur in an isolated farming town, surrounded on all sides by mountains. Some years past, the town was the origin of a civil uprising which was suppressed brutally by the government, resulting in a large quantity of orphans and people with punitive 'obligations'.
Story
Sharin no Kuni's story centers around Kenichi Morita, a young man who has been training for the past seven years to become a Special High Class Individual. For his final examination, he has been dispatched to the same town in which he lived as a child. His task: to pose as a student in the town's school and rehabilitate three of his classmates who possess 'obligations', successfully preparing them to re-enter society.
However, this seemingly straightforward examination will force him to call upon all his training, exercise all his wits, and confront the past he fled from so many years ago...
Character
1.Kenichi Morita

Kenichi is the protagonist of Sharin no Kuni. Despite being the youngest person to ever become a Special High Class Individual cadet, he has already distinguished himself as a CEO and a combatant in the Southern Country's foreign legion. Often considered slightly unhinged from the latter experience, he has a habit of talking to himself and making jokes other people rarely find funny. Despite his arrogant exterior, he has a strong sense of justice, which often clashes with the values of the country he serves. Being an SHCI candidate, Kenichi is a multitalented genius who is highly skilled in many areas such as Small Arms combat, Martial Arts, Business and Moneymaking, and even Spelunking, and possesses near-superhuman endurance and a charisma which endears him to nearly all whom he meets. He also has a habit of breaking the fourth wall when speaking to himself, referring to "you", though it is revealed later that he is actually speaking to his sister, who is right next to him (although he admits later that it's also due, to an extent, to his drug)
2.Natsumi Hinata

Voiced by: Mana Shinjou
The first person Kenichi meets upon his return to the town, Natsumi is an extremely shy girl who is prone to stuttering and spacing out in the midst of conversations. She is often concerned that she is a bother to other people, making it difficult for her 'friends' - Sachi and Isono - to involve her in anything. She is an orphan as well, and has few hobbies of her own except for taking strolls around the sunflower field outside of town. She is the main heroine of the story.
Her obligation is "Prohibited from Falling in Love" - considered one of the most severe obligations, she cannot have any physical contact with the opposite sex. Due to her introverted personality, she is hardly inconvenienced by this, and seems to have a fear of being touched above and beyond the consequences of violating her obligation..
3.Sachi Mitsuiro

Voiced by: Miya Serizono
Sachi is a girl with an energetic and vibrant personality, at odds with her habits of dozing off at school and procrastinating whenever an opportunity to do work presents itself. She is hardly fazed by Kenichi's exterior and is the first to become friends with him. An orphan, she earns money through internet speculation, and shares her apartment in the school dormitory with a little girl from the Southern Country named Mana. In the past, she had a hobby of painting, but she has not done this since her parents died.
Her obligation is to have a "12 Hour Day" - after being awake for twelve hours, she must 'stop' by taking medicine which knocks her unconscious for another twelve hours. This medicine is not particularly effective at relieving fatigue, and she often naps for a good portion of the remaining hours.
4.Touka Oone

Voiced by: Sumire Murasakibana
Touka is the class president, an outspoken and brash girl who has no patience for Kenichi's behavior and often acts violently towards him. She is the worst student in the class due to being prone to careless mistakes, and this clumsiness is physical as well. Due to her obligation, she has a tenuous relationship with her mother Kyouko. She secretly wants to become a cook, but is prohibited from entering the kitchen due to an accident when she was young.
Her obligation is "Prohibited from Becoming an Adult" - meaning that she must obey every order given to her by her parental figure, Kyouko. Burdened with unreasonable restrictions such as an hour-by-hour daily schedule, and a prohibition from watching TV or reading books except for studying, she often seeks small ways to rebel.
5.Eri Nagumo
Voiced by: Mariya Kurata
One of Ken'ichi's fellow cadets for the position of Special High Class Individual, Eri is considered the most promising of the current cadets. She is only slightly older than Kenichi, but has already obtained a Ph.D. in Law Science. Although dedicated and studious, she has an unfortunate habit of not being the most punctual of people.
6.Sepia Uzuki

Voiced by: Mori Keisuke
A classmate of Kenichi's, Sepia is the one person able to outdo his eccentricity. He claims to be able to talk to fairies and often speaks about bizarre subjects, inevitably incurring Touka's wrath. A fanatical devotee of Higuchi Saburou, leader of the civil uprising in the past, he resents Kenichi for being a 'dog of the nation'. He is romantically infatuated with Touka's mother, Kyouko.
7.Masaomi Houzuki

Voiced by: Norio Wakamoto
Houzuki is the Special High Class Individual supervising Kenichi's examination. Despite being lame in one leg from a war injury and walking with a cane, he is an intimidating individual who unnerves even Kenichi. Relentlessly dedicated to society, he is not above manipulating anyone- even his own protégé- to produce what he perceives as the most favorable result for the future of the country

Plot
Utawarerumono is a story centering around the masked protagonist, Hakuoro, who one day is found by a family of two girls and their grandmother in a nearby forest close to their village. He is badly injured and is soon found to have amnesia, so they take him to their home and treat him until he is well again. Hakuoro is soon accepted into their village where he stays and lives with them, but before long Hakuoro finds that life in this village is being oppressed by the greedy emperor who rules over the country their village resides in. Soon after, these negative actions taken towards their village result in him leading a rebellion against the emperor of the country which later lands him to become emperor of a vast new country which is named Tusukuru, after the well-respected woman who helped save his life.
After becoming emperor and things begin to calm down, Hakuoro soon finds out that peace is hard to maintain and finds himself constantly in battle in order to protect the peace of his country and his people. Eventually, he is led into many bloody battles in order to fight for the freedom of all those residing in Tusukuru. Along the way, Hakuoro meets several other strong warriors from several other countries and tribes who are fully accepted into Hakuoro's growing family. Many moments of hardship and laughter ensue as time continues but with Hakuoro leading the way, all others are confident in his ability to lead.
The story's genre is at first a fantasy-style story with heavy Ainu influence, though later develops science fiction themes towards the end. Indeed, it first appears to take place in a fantasy world full of magical beings and interesting new species of humans, but it is later revealed that it takes place in Earth's distant future.
Backstory
In the present age, an archaeological expedition unearths a mysterious fossil, a fossil of a disfigured beast. Unknown to the archaeologist, the fossil is the embodiment of a forgotten god, known as Witsuarunemitea. A superior scientist stumbles in, and after some confrontation, the mysterious stranger explains that humanity isn't ready for this Missing Link, the gap in evolution between men and apes. To prevent him from talking, he shoots the archaeologist. As the archaeologist slowly dies, his blood touches the fossil, and the forgotten god awakens.
Witsuarunemitea, a shattered and forgotten deity, sees opportunity in the dying archaeologist. He offers the archaeologist life, in exchange for becoming his vessel, so that Witsuarunemitea can finally find the sleep he so desires. Time passes, and eventually he becomes frozen in ice.
With Witsuarunemitea still bound in sleep as his mask, the archaeologist re-awakens many years into the future. He finds himself in an underground research facility, where he is being studied as an ancient human specimen. The archaeologist learns from the researchers that humanity is now unable to exist outside of a greenhouse environment, and hence the remnants of humanity now live underground.
Mizushima, a researcher, is assigned to the care and study of the archaeologist, who is now referred to as the Iceman. Upon discovering that the 'Iceman' can withstand the bacteria on Earth's surface, the researchers look to harness his unique genome and emulate the invigorating characteristics of his mask. Of the thousands of creations, only a select few prove to be viable, including experiments 3510 and 63. Experiment number 3510, a beautiful young girl, is given the name Mikoto by the Iceman; as is experiment number 63, a girl with black wings, whom is given the name Mutsumi. Mutsumi, acknowledging she has come from the Iceman's DNA, addresses him as "father".
The genome project encounters some problems, however, and the researchers in charge decide to re-freeze the Iceman for later study. Mizushima, aware of the human side of the Iceman, urges him to run, and gives him the facility's master key, a plain-colored ring recognized by the facility's doors.
The Iceman runs from the facility, taking Mikoto with him, whom he has fallen in love with. After a few years have passed, Mikoto gives birth to a daughter. The researchers, however, put on environmental suits in order to pursue the Iceman and recapture both him and Mikoto. Mikoto is dissected for further research, but while Iceman is being prepared to be frozen, his rage awakens Witsuarunemitea.
Outraged by the treatment of Mikoto, a new side of Witsuarunemitea begins to form. Filled with rage, Witsuarunemitea destroys most of the facility. Appalled by what the humans would do to obtain immortality, Witsuarunemitea grants their plea, transforming them into immortal gelatinous beings. Eventually, the great god accrues so much rage as to split himself into two halves: one which seeks destruction, and another, which seeks only to be destroyed.
Suddenly, Mutsumi appears, and empowered by Witsuarunemitea's divine blood, she puts both halves of Witsuarunemitea to sleep. Meanwhile, the few successful genetic experiments from the research facility begin to repopulate the Earth's surface, as the original humanity slowly dies out and is forgotten. The research facility is sealed away forever, and the people are told it is Witsuarunemitea's holy land.
Years later, a shift in the world awakens the two halves of Witsuarunemitea, who begin to combat each other; the destructive side wanting to help the populace of the world reach new height through wars, and its opposite through peaceful cooperation. The empress of Kunnekamun (whose people; the Shakukopuro, are being massacred) seeks out the destructive side, and is granted with a power called the Avu-Kamuu, massive bio-mechanical constructs covered in platemail, allowing them to exist in the world of war and hegemony.
Eventually, the fighting of the two halves causes a great earthquake. Arurū, a young girl of Kenashikourupe, is in the process of climbing a tree to recover a beehive when the earthquake strikes, and falls, becoming greatly injured. Erurū, Arurū's sister, prays Witsuarunemitea to heal Arurū, and promises, in exchange, her body and soul. Witsuarunemitea obliges.
Both halves of Witsuarunemitea are heavily injured in the battle, and both halves are put to sleep. The destructive half was found by Dii, a scholar of Onkamiyamukai, who fuses with the demigod. The half that wishes to be destroyed retains his body, and is found in the woods by Erurū.
The events of Utawarerumono then take place.
My Opinion
first time i play this game, i thought it will be a serious game, which will make me
thinking a lot, but it turn out really-really different from what i've imagine.
The game has very cool and touching storyline, and also the game is funny as hell, yeah it often makes us laugh just by the clumsiness of the character itself, starting from the main protagonist into the supporting character.
lets talk about the gameplay, i will give you the brief explanation about it
"Utawarerumono features a tactical role-playing battle system that centers around the player moving a group of characters through a square-based grid during turn-based battles in order to achieve an objective. The objective of the battle, displayed in the upper-right hand corner the screen when viewing the actions available for a specific character, comprise of the player either defeating any number of enemies or moving one or all characters to a specific location. During each character's turn, the player may choose to have the character move, attack, or cast magic, of which only moving and attacking can be performed in succession, in that order. When a character attacks an enemy character, the player is given a chance to add additional attacks should he or she time his or her mouse click by clicking while a yellow circle is present on screen that disappears shortly after appearing. The number of attacks that the player can add to a character's attack is randomly generated and affected by each individual character's abilities, and the total number of attacks that the player can add attack varies from character to character. After adding a certain number of attacks to the character will perform a special finishing attack should they have the required abilities. As characters defeat enemies and participate in battle, they gain experience points at the end of battle which are used to "pay" for increasing the character's abilities."
to much ee... ^^
to make it simple, the battle system is kick ass.. thats all.. :D
here's the picture

Character(main character)
1.Hakuoro (ハクオロ?)

Voiced by: Rikiya Koyama (Japanese), John Gremillion (English)
Hakuoro wears an irremovable mask over the top part of his head extended down to just under the eyes. He is found badly injured by Erurū, Arurū and their grandmother in a nearby forest and they nurse him back to health. It is soon apparent that he has lost all of his memories, and he additionally finds that the state of the world varies significantly from his expectations (e.g. certain anatomical attributes are now considered normal, such as ears and tails). In place of his forgotten name, he is given the name Hakuoro (白皇, meaning "White Emperor" in Ainu, also the name of Erurū and Arurū's father). His main weapon of choice is a large metal fan that was given to him by Tusukuru. He quickly captivates and gains the trust of those around him, and soon finds himself in a growing position of leadership. Although it seems for a time that his identity is Rakshain, a murderous traitor, it is eventually revealed that he is the embodiment of the good half of the god Witsarunemitea and he recalls his memories as Iceman. After Hakuoro's final battle with the darker half of Witsarunemitea, the halves join together once again, with Hakuoro's side straining to maintain dominance. He decides to seal himself away so that his other side will not cause anymore destruction, and bids farewell to each of his comrades. Eruru confesses her love for Hakuoro and, in the anime, the two share a kiss. Hakuoro says that he will return and Eruru says that she will wait for him. The conclusion hints that Hakuoro returns through the final scene with Eruru, and this hint is especially strong in the anime.
Iceman (アイスマン?)
In the earliest of Hakuoro's memories, he is seen as an archeological research scholar who stumbled upon Witsarunemitea's fossil hidden in an advanced laboratory. An unknown scientist catches him and explains that he did not want anyone to know of this forgotten deity; the "missing link" in human evolution-- for he felt that it should not exist. To protect its concealment, he shot the archeologist and his blood landed on the fossil. Witsarunemitea then awakened and restored him in exchange for taking his body as a vessel so that he will not be disturbed again. As a symbol of the contract, he acquired the mask which represents Witsarunemitea. Much later, his frozen body is found by researchers who unfreeze him and dub him 'Iceman'. Although initially under the pretense of helping him, the researchers were actually interested in researching his ability to survive outside of a greenhouse environment and interested in further increasing their longevity. Artificial beings based on his body were created for further studies, including subject #63 whom he named "Mutsumi". He then escaped with subject #3510 who he named Mikoto, and had a child with her; although they are both eventually recaptured. The scientists dissected Mikoto, which caused Iceman to go into a rage and awaken his abilities as Witsarunemitea. Realizing what he is doing, he asks Mutsumi to destroy him; but she is unsuccessful. Instead, she manages to seal him, but he is separated into two: Hakuoro possessing his good side and his human form; and a formless evil side that must possess a host body to gain physical form. However, the seal cannot hold indefinitely and the two halves periodically become free. In the current timeline, Hakuoro awakens with no memories, and the latest of the forms taken by the darker side is that of the Onkamiyamukai scholar Dii.
2.Erurū (エルルゥ?)

(actually she didn't wear that clothes.. ^^)
Voiced by: Ryōka Yuzuki (Japanese), Kira Vincent-Davis (English)
Eruruu is the first person Hakuoro meets when he wakes up after being found by her and her family. She nurses Hakuoro back to health until he is strong enough to go walking outside, with much initial assistance provided by Eruruu and a walking stick. Later, she falls in love with Hakuoro. She is the reincarnation of Mikoto. Eruruu kisses Hakuoro before he is sealed as he tells her that they will meet again and that she will be waiting for him. At the end of the anime, she continues as a healer and is awaiting Hakuoro's return. In the last scene she turns around and sees someone or something. However it does not show who she saw. It is implied by many to be Hakuoro without Witsarunemitea's mask. In the game version, this is strongly implied as prior to that scene, Kūya, Kamyu and Arurū are all shown acting as if they saw Hakuoro again. Eruruu has a forceful, but caring, personality. She is named after a flower that only exists in the story. In the game and manga, she is often found displeased of her small breast size. She also has dog-like ears and a tail.
3.Arurū (アルルゥ?)

Voiced by: Miyuki Sawashiro (Japanese), Sasha Paysinger (English)
Arurū is Erurū's shy, quiet younger sister, and a friend to Yuzuha and Kamyu. Like Erurū, she is also named after a fictional flower. It is said that the Erurū and Arurū flowers grow together. When she first meets Hakuoro, she is shy and recalcitrant, running and hiding from Hakuoro at every opportunity and speaking very little. After Hakuoro eventually wins over Arurū's affections, she calls Hakuoro otōsan (お父さん?, meaning "father"). How Hakuoro does so, incidentally, depends on whether one is playing the game or watching the anime. In the game, Arurū warms up to Hakuoro after he is willing to accept honey directly from a beehive from her so that they may eat it together. In the anime, Hakuoro wins over Arurū by sparing the life of a baby white tiger, even though its mother, Mutikapa, a large, white tiger with special traits, had killed many innocent people (and despite the fact that almost all the villagers wanted the baby tiger killed; they were however willing to defer to Hakuoro's judgment since his plan saved their lives). Regardless, in both the game and the anime, Arurū took in that baby tiger and raised it as if it were her own, naming it Mukkuru. After it grows (in an astoundingly short period of time), she begins to ride him into battle, often in spite of orders or warnings to stay away from danger. It is later revealed that Aruru had been severely injured presumably from an earthquake prior to the meeting Hakuoro. Witsuarunemitea healed her for the exchange of Eruru's body, and soul. She is also heavily wounded and presumably has died from an attack from Hauenka and is revived by Witsarunemitea.
Ok folks i thinks that all..

but the crucial character is only those three

that's all folks...
^^
i will give some pic of the character (my fav only ^^)

Touka... oh Touka..
Tōka (トウカ?)
Voiced by: Kaya Miyake (Japanese), Sofia Mendez (English)
Touka is an Evenkuruga mononofu (warrior) who in the beginning serves under Lord Orikakan. After Orikakan is murdered by Niwe, she swears vengeance, and, seeing the respect which Hakuoro pays to the fallen emperor, pledges fealty to Hakuoro to serve as his bodyguard and, omitted from her mention to him as part of her services, bear him a child. In the game, she pledges fealty because Arruru and Erruru convinced her that Hakuoro is a good person. She obsessively follows this oath, true to her clan's nature. However, even though it was part of the oath, she failed to have a baby with him because she was tricked by Karura into thinking that she would become pregnant by drinking Hakuoro's semen. She fights using a slim sword of an unspecified variety which she combines with her astonishing agility to execute swift and deadly attacks.
Touka is a member of the Evenkuruga tribe, a small clan living near the steppes (which steppes they inhabit are never mentioned in the series). The Evenkuruga are blessed with such extraordinary fighting abilities that many have carved their names in history; they are a deeply moralistic people and side with good and fight evil in the name of justice and honor. This is mentioned several times during the anime, such as when Touka declares "In the name of justice and honor, I shall support Kuccha Keecha" or when Benawi speculates that Touka would not defile her sense of justice, even if it meant losing her life. At the end of the series she follows Hakuoro's request and acts as a protector of the weak and is also working together with Karura as a wandering mercenary.
She is sometimes seen as the comic relief, mostly due to her over-protectiveness of Hakuoro (such as picking through every piece of a fish before letting the new Emperor eat it, searching for poison) and her feminine side, which conflicts with her warrior-like persona.

Karura....
Karurauatsurei (Karura) (カルラゥアツゥレイ(カルラ)?)
Voiced by: Atsuko Tanaka (Japanese), Shelley Calene-Black (English)
Karura was once princess of Nan-Tunku before the Shakukoporu deposed her and placed a puppet leader at the head of the state. She joins Hakuoro after she is found having slaughtered many soldiers from another country who were holding her prisoner. Despite showing concern for her country (which she conceals), she has forsaken her past as royalty and decided to live her life as Karura, a simple woman, and as a sign of this vow continues to wear a large metal collar around her neck placed there in her captivity. She is one of the last two Giriyaginas on Earth, along with Derihourai, her younger brother. She is often seen drinking sake, even on the battle field (She could drink several barrels of sake in one day). Karura wields a massive black blade (personally designed to not break, not dull and not need resharpening), which is so ridiculously large and heavy that no one else can lift it. She uses it in conjunction with her superhuman strength to deal tremendous damage to her enemies. The name Karura (迦楼羅, 迦樓羅, or 迦留羅), also known as Garuda and Garua, comes from the Hindu and Buddhist myth of the man-bird deity. Her name is Karula in the English version. Her weapon, can be said to be a powerful limiter on her body. For when she throws it down to fight under her own power, she is blindingly fast. At the end of the series she and Touka become famous wandering mercenaries.
yup.. that's all ^^

Plot
Setting and themes
The story takes place in a fictional universe where humans live in harmony with gods, resembling humans with slightly pointed ears, and devils (demons in the English dub of the anime), who have more prominently pointed ears. Despite their respective positive and negative connotations, both races are equally kind and good-natured. Ten years prior to the story, the gateway between the worlds of the gods and devils were opened, and since then, people from all races have been immigrating between the worlds. The characters attend the multi-racial high school, National Verbena Academy (バーベナ学園, Bābena Gakuen?) in Kōyō-chō (光陽町?, lit. Sunshine Town).[2]
Shuffle! contains a leitmotif of allusions to flowers. All of the characters' names are references to flowers in some way, mostly genera of flowering plants. (See individual character articles for their meanings.) Additionally, in Japan, every day has a special flower associated with it, which in turn are associated with certain characteristics. This is called hanakotoba, or "language of flowers". All of the characters' birthdays and personalities correspond with the flowers of their respective days.[5] For example, the high school that the series takes place in, National Verbena Academy, refers to the genus Verbena, which has connotations of cooperation.[6]
Story
Ten years ago, the door connecting the Human World, the Devil World, and the God World opened. As a result, Gods and Devils now reside among humans in everyday life. Surprisingly, they all seem to accept and get along with each other. It’s much different from what you’d expect, and it’s highly unrealistic, but after some getting used to, I came to accept it.
You play as Rin, the main character and male lead of the game. Rin has been living with his childhood friend Kaede for many years. Both of Rin’s parents and Kaede’s mother died in a fatal accident when they were young, and they have been living toegther with Kaede’s dad ever since. One day while walking home, Rin runs into two girls who somehow know his name. He seems to vaguely remember them from somewhere, but can’t quite put his finger on it.
The next day he finds out that the two girls are new transfer students in his class. On top of that, the girls’ fathers are the King of Gods and the King of Devils, which essentially makes them the princesses of the God and Devil worlds. They also claim that they met Rin eight years ago and have loved him ever since. Their fathers have decided that one of the girls will marry Rin, and that Rin has to choose which one: either Lisianthus (called “Sia” for short), the princess of the God World, or Nerine, the princess of the Devil World.

Kureha and tsubomi..

List of the girls in this game..
My Opinion
What i like from shuffle! is the art, yeah the artwork is awesome, yeah the character are well drawn and also "matches" it personality, it have their own touch
on the character which the other developer doesn't have, same with soul link great arwork. about the music and whatsoever it's ok they didn't have many major flaws but about the storyline i cannot say for sure but for me it's kinda boring, yeah i stopped playing shuffle in the middle of the storyline without any reasonable reason. it likes another visual novel game, childhood friend, harem, and two girls really-really crazy about you, and want you to marry them it kinda boring to me, but despise that i really- really enjoy the artwork, it's the best !!!!
here's some artwork of the game

another list of the girls

kinda reminds me of sharin no kuni himawari no shoujo

wuhu... it's cool...
and here is *DRUMSROLL*
THE CHARACTER
1.Rin Tsuchimi (土見 稟, Tsuchimi Rin?)

Rin Tsuchimi is a seventeen year-old high school student and the male protagonist in the series. In the game, Rin is the role that the player assumes. As noted by Kaede, Rin's main virtue is his kindness. This is both his greatest strength, as the girls love him because of this, and his greatest weakness, as shown later in the series by his indecisiveness and goal to make everyone happy, which usually ends up hurting them instead. Rin tends to show minimal initiative when dealing with the girls around him (mostly because of the abuse he receives by fellow male classmates over his perceived relationship with his childhood friend Kaede). However, he starts to spend more and more time with both Lisianthus (Sia) and Nerine after they arrive and starts to develop feelings for them. With regards to Kaede, he thinks of her as a childhood friend only. When people comment that he and Kaede would make a good couple, Rin either waves it off or says that it is strange to think of it that way. This distance kept between them is caused in part by Kaede and Rin's dark past.Voiced by: Tomokazu Sugita (Japanese), Jerry Jewell (English) (anime only), Hikaru Midorikawa(Drama CD), Kagura Akagi(Really? Really!)
2.Lisianthus/Kikyou (リシアンサス / キキョウ, Rishiansasu / Kikyō?)

Nicknamed Sia (シア, Shia?), Lisianthus is the daughter of the King of Gods and came to the human world as a possible marriage candidate for Rin. She possess a very boastful and energetic personality and holds great optimism. Though poorly skilled at academics, she has excellent cooking skills. Her magical capability is poor, but she makes up for it with brute force by hitting people with objects ranging from chairs to tables. Lisianthus has two personalities because when she was in her mother's womb, her twin sister Kikyou couldn't survive. Sia decided to save Kikyou by allowing Kikyou's soul to reside inside of her own. Kikyou emerges (takes control of Sia's body) when Sia is depressed or when she feels that Sia should be more aggressive to Rin. In Shuffle! Essence+, Kikyou gets an extended ending where she and Sia are able to be separated and thereby co-exist together. In the non-Lisianthus routes, Sia confesses to Rin that, although he might not return her feelings of love, she will keep on loving him because the gods believe in polygamy. She tells this to Itsuki when rejecting his advances. In 2011, Navel will release a sequel for Lisianthus called Princess! Princess! which will explore more of Sia's background. Voiced by: Sayaka Aoki (Japanese), Brittney Karbowski (English)(anime), Rumiko Sasa(PC)
3.Nerine/Lycoris (ネリネ / リコリス, Nerine / Rikorisu?)

Nerine is the daughter of the King of Devils and, like Sia, is also a marriage candidate for Rin. Nerine is a more capable magic user than Sia and occasionally uses it to devastating effects. Similar to Sia, Nerine has absorbed the spirit of Lycoris, her clone. Because Nerine developed an incurable illness, Lycoris gave her life to save Nerine. However, unlike Sia, this has not led her to developing multiple personalities and only caused her to share Lycoris' emotions and singing voice. Nerine is very shy, respectful, and speaks in an extremely formal way. She enjoys getting to know and learn about her peers. Her cooking skills are rather poor, but her magic capabilities are quite impressive, sometimes with enough destructive power to level entire city blocks. Her grades in school are also excellent. Initially, Nerine becomes a bit depressed when seeing Rin with Sia, but after her confession to Rin about Lycoris' identity and her own love for Rin (which had blossomed during her effort to fulfill Lycoris' last wish), she no longer gets depressed when she realizes that she will never win Rin's heart. Voiced by: Haruka Nagami (Japanese), Caitlin Glass (English), Yuki Matsunaga(PC)
4.Kaede Fuyou (芙蓉楓, Fuyō Kaede?)

Kaede Fuyou is Rin's beautiful childhood friend who grew up with him in the same house after her mother and Rin's parents died in a car accident. Some time after they started junior high school, Kaede started taking care of Rin, everything from housework to making him his meals. She is very down to earth, modest, polite and soft-spoken. However, at times she is seen showing signs of psychosis and even violence when a great shock upsets her. In the original game, this is only visible in the backstory after her Mother dies. However, in the Anime, she also exhibits this behaviour when Rin becomes close with Asa, and Kaede attacks her when she visits. In order to atone for her actions in the past in which she mistreated Rin, Kaede decides to make herself Rin's personal slave by cooking his meals and doing all the work around the house. Rin does not really want this, but he is afraid of making Kaede have a relapse by not allowing her to punish herself in this way. Kaede is shown to have romantic feelings for Rin, but considers herself unworthy to be loved by Rin or to stay by Rin's side. However, though it is not romance, Rin cares deeply about her. Although she has come to terms with her own feelings, she continues to love Rin, and declares this in the last episode, which also shows her kissing Sia.
Voiced by: Yuko Goto (Japanese), Carrie Savage (English), Ran Tōno(PC)
5.Asa Shigure (時雨亜沙, Shigure Asa?)

Asa Shigure is Rin's friend and senpai. While she has a weak constitution, she makes up for it with her energetic personality. Despite being a touch of a tomboy,[1] she is an excellent cook. She uses English loan words often and is notable for saying "Hello!" in English — a greeting which is her catchphrase. She does not have long ears (even though she is half-human half-demon). Note that some observers believe she has long ears with the tips hidden beneath her ribbon. However, this is not the case, as it mentioned that, while her mother is demonic, her body is 'from her father' and in almost all respects human. From time to time she'll flirt with Rin, tease him, and give him a nice big slap on the back. However, it is later revealed that there were numerous guys who had a secret crush on her. Nevertheless, nothing much came out of it as she rejected them and neither the anime nor the game delved any deeper into the issue. In the anime she ends up together with Rin. And as the series ends, she is seen working in the same cafe as Kareha - with Rin visiting her every day. Voiced by: Miki Itō (Japanese), Monica Rial (English), Sumire Takarazuka (PC)
6.Primula (プリムラ, Purimura?)

Nicknamed Rimu (リム, Rimu?), Primula is a strange, stoic and calm girl who is often seen carrying a stuffed cat around — a present from Rin to Lycoris who, in turn, gave it to Primula before she died. She is the third artificial life form created from a result of the gods' and devils' experimentations from which she escaped to visit the human world in order to search for Rin because Lycoris had told her about him. Primula has good relationships with the other clones, because she was Lycoris's sister. Most of the time she shows either very little or no emotions whatsoever. However, during her route in the game (and a couple of other routes in Shuffle! Essence+), she starts to trust Rin enough to start showing her real personality, that of an extremely happy and bubbly girl. Additionally, with her young appearance, Primula serves to fill the lolicon niche of the series. Voiced by: Hitomi (voice actress) (Japanese), Cherami Leigh (English), Minami Hokuto(PC)
